The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center is hosting a series of media meetups – 4, in fact – that meet on select Wednesdays from March through June.  The topic for meetup #2, held April 13th, was how to grow an audience on YouTube and other platforms.

“Well, that sounds like something I want to do!” I told myself.

And so, I went.

A panel of four experts shared their experiences with video content on the web, and each person approached YouTube, as well as other video platforms, from a different perspective.

The program was moderated by Billy Miller, producer at North South Productions (Say Yes to the Dress, Impractical Jokers, Wrecked) and featured YouTubers Maria Antoinette (MariaAntionetteTV), Fadi Saleh (baracksdubs), and Nick Hollensbe – executive producer at Scripps Networks (HGTV Handmade).

Among many words of advice were these two that I share in this week’s vlog.

Grow Your Audience with These 2 Disciplines

  1. Define your schedule for when to post new content on your YouTube channel, and stick to it.
  2. Also, keep sharing information from your core content…no matter how basic you might think your message is.

Consistency in your calendar and your subject matter will keep viewers coming back to watch your stuff.
