I’m doing some refresher training for a client whom I haven’t seen in a couple of years.  It was great to see people, who were beginners the last time, come into the course with very specific questions.

Where did they get these great questions?  From their experiences, frustrations and failures. Experience had exposed what they still needed to learn, and experience had revealed the questions that would get good information.

How about you?  Do you learn from mistakes?  Do you show up each day with a hunger to grow and expand your knowledge?  Experience is a good teacher because it often trains us to ask good questions.
